Mauritius, 26th August 2023, Ceremonial opening of the newest SUNfarming Training Centre in Gros Cailloux, Mauritius.

- A 200 kWp SUNfarming Food & Energy Agrisolar Training Centre was inaugurated, on 26 August 2023, over an area of 4,500 m at Gros Cailloux, in the presence of the Minister of Energy and Public Utilities, Mr Georges Pierre Lesjongard, the Minister of Environment, Solid Waste Management and Climate Change, Mr Kavydass Ramano, and other eminent personalities.

- SUNfarming Africa, a subsidiary of the German company SUNfarming Group, has been selected for the National Scheme for Emerging/Innovative Renewable Energy Technologies (NSEIRET) by the MARENA, Mauritius Renewable Energy Authority, to implement an agrivoltaic “Food & Energy Research and Training Centre” project, with an allocated capacity of 200 kWp over an area of 5000 m2 at Gros Cailloux.
