Sheep grazing in SUNfarming Solarparks

Sheep grazing in SUNfarming Solarparks

The use of near-natural sheep grazing as a nursing procedure complies with our ecological principles and is highly accepted by the population.
Since 2016 we have been using sheep herds to graze our solar parks in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. A requirement for the functioning of the solar modules is the prevention of shading caused by plant growth. The regular care of the vegetation by sheep grazing prevents shading of the modules. In contrast to mechanical mowing, there is no dust development or damage caused by stone impact. The shepherd's checks at irregular times also reduce the risk of theft.
The shepherd also benefits from this safe pasture, which is already provided with fencing. The modules are a good shade dispenser and draft shield and the substructures offer retreats for lambing sheep. The surfaces are unloaded since no fertilizers and pesticides are used.
The nature conservation association welcomes the double use of the land, the extensive grazing has positive effects on the biodiversity, through the practiced change of the pasture the sheep serve other animal and plant species as means of transport and thus increase the biodiversity. Due to the good experiences with this environmentally friendly and gentle care of the areas our sheep are now also in Falkensee in Brandenburg -the sheep seem to like it.

19 MW SUNfarming Solar Parks in Record Time

SUNfarming realized 5 more solar parks in the United Kingdom with a total capacity of 19 MW

In a record time of only 4 months SUNfarming has successfully completed 5 more solar parks, for 31th of March 2016, with a total capacity of 19 MW, including the transformers and grid connection. Despite adverse soil conditions and poor weather conditions 200 mechanics and engineers have done an excellent job.
As in 2015, the first cooperation with our English partner, Ethical Power LTD, this project was very professionally handled and implemented in time.
SUNfarming could for the majority deliver quality-tested SUNfarming solar modules. The substructures were delivered by our sister company SOLprime from Kiel that secured us the best SUNfarming quality and smooth handling.
Our solar parks are among the best on the UK's solar market. Together with investors and project developers, we are already working on the successful realization of new projects worldwide.

SUNfarming builds another 11 MW in Friedland

SUNfarming builds another 11 MW in Friedland, making it the largest producer of electricity in the region Friedland

11 megawatt solar park at three more locations in Friedland are since March 2016 connected to the grid.
As already several times in recent years, the trustful cooperation of SUNfarming with DKB also allowed the financing of these solar parks.Through our unique quality assurance system, we are a reliable partner for banks and investors.
"As production partners for our SUNfarming quality modules we chose Aleo Solar, producing in Prenzlau and Astronergy, producing in Frankfurt/Oder. Only economically strong PV module factories with automated production lines are added to the supply chain of SUNfarming.
Prior to delivery all modules are regularly tested at the factory by our SUNfarming quality managers, in collaboration with external testing institutes such as the PI Berlin, in a particularly strict quality control, "said Martin Tauschke, CEO of SUNfarming.
"We have successfully realized five solar parks with 22 MW, making SUNfarming the largest electricity producer in the region Friedland".
