SUNfarming signs contracts of 5 MW solar plants in Germany

SUNfarming GmbH has received an order for the turnkey construction of 5 MW solar plants from investment companies of the Schrum-Tauschke family. The projects have been successfully developed by SUNfarming GmbH for the last few months. These are 750 kWp free-field installations as well as roof-top plants of various sizes within Germany. The construction is expected to begin at the end of July. The order volume is approximately EUR 6 million. The investments are financed via the GLS Community Bank EC. The credit agreements have been signed by the investment companies this week.

"Unlike in the PV industry, we offer a one-stop service, from project development to service and monitoring. We have developed a unique quality assurance system for banks and investors. In our PV components, we rely exclusively on high-quality materials, in addition to the certification by TÜV Rheinland, checked by SUNfarming experts for quality according to a particularly stringent system.
An average of 7% more performance of our plants in recent years confirms the premium quality of our components ", explains Martin Tauschke, SUNfarming managing director.

As one of the ten largest German companies in the field of solar PV, the SUNfarming group has acquired its competence in the field of renewable energy over the past 14 years with more than 500 MWP solar systems as free-field and roof-top plants in Germany and worldwide, of which 115 MWP in its own investment Our group of companies is economically active in the project development, financing, realisation and operation of solar plants and related concepts such as agro-photovoltaics and e-mobility.

Successful Intersolar for SUNfarming

2018, the SUNfarming group again took part in the world's leading trade fair for the solar industry with a competent team.

The interest in our products and projects was as big as every year and our SUNfarmer have held many concrete discussions with local and international partners from Europe, Africa and Latin America in order to create projects and to further develop current projects. In addition, contacts with suppliers and banks as well as international financial institutions were expanded. Among others, DKB (Deutsche Credit Bank AG) and GLS (Community Bank EC), as well as the international banks FMO (Dutch Development Bank) and the World Bank subsidiary IFC visited our stand to look at the development of relations in the financing of German and International projects.

Franz Alt, a multi-award-winning journalist and author, was also a welcome guest at our booth. Many years of political commitment to the "Solar World Revolution" combine Franz Alt and Peter Schrum, SUNfarming founder and honorary president of the BRM (Federal Association for Regenerative Mobility e.v.).

SUNfarming completes 3,308 kWp of free-field plants in Turkey

SUNfarming Eurasia has realized solar parks with a total capacity of 3,308 kWp in the Niğde-Gölçük and Osmaniye-Yaveriye provinces.
5.5 million kilowatt hours of electricity are produced per year, which ranges for example electricity for 1,800 2-person households for one year. The CO2 savings is 4,000 tons annually.
The potential for solar energy in Turkey is huge. The country has up to 2,737 hours of sunshine a year, or 7.5 hours a day. This is the highest solar potential in Europe. The Turkish government wants to increase the share of solar energy to 5 gigawatts by 2023 and cover 30 percent of the total energy demand from renewable sources. This move is intended to make the country less dependent on expensive energy imports, which account for about half of the Turkish trade deficit. At the same time, however, the country is also heavily relying on coal and natural gas for power generation.
The two new SUNfarming solar parks in the Niğde-Gölçük and Osmaniye-Yaveriye regions, with solar radiation of around 1,600 kWh / kWp to 1,660 kWh / kWp, offer the best solar yield for the production of renewable energy, thus contributing to global climate protection.

Thousands of new jobs with Food & Energy

Job creation, food production and self-sufficiency are objectives that SUNfarming has set itself to combat the causes of migration and flight.

Peter Schrum, founder and principal shareholder of the SUNfarming Group, visited various African countries during his trip abroad in February. The agenda included Namibia, Zambia, South Africa, Tanzania and Mauritius. Together with presidents, ministers and stakeholders, the potential of the Food & Energy projects was discussed for job creation, self-sufficiency in regionally grown food and solar energy production. Talks were also held with representatives from Ethiopia and Senegal and project-preparatory steps were initiated.
Peter Schrum:"Global warming is increasing, which has a devastating effect especially in already arid and drought affected areas in Africa. The result are major refugees flows, our aim is to create help for self-help for the people in their home countries. Our agro-solar greenhouses can produce food even in arid areas with water savings of up to 90%. The solar modules installed on the roof of the greenhouses produce electricity that can be used in the communities. It will create up to 1000 new jobs, including 500 franchise partner, in 10 years per MW/2ha".

First energy cluster in Poland with participation of SUNfarming

SUNfarming GmbH has initiated an energy cluster in Poland, which was founded in early 2018.

The mayor of Slublice, Tomasz Ciszewicz, has signed the first contracts for the establishment of so-called energy clusters for the municipalities of Slublice. With the founding of the cluster, PV plants and biogas plants with a total output of 15 megawatts can be planned for the region's own supply in the five partner municipalities. The energy cluster coordination will be carried out by the joint venture partner of SUNfarming, LEMA Finance sp.z.o.o.

About energy cluster

The simultaneous production of solar energy and biogas energy creates regional energy islands that are independent of the grid and at the same time can feed energy surpluses into the upstream grid.
Another advantage of starting a cluster is the co-ordination of electricity generation, distribution and trade, supply and demand for electricity and gas.

"Our plan is for our residents to benefit from renewable energy thanks to the cluster, which reduces CO2 as well as other types of pollution such as dust, dioxide, sulfur, oxidants, pollution directly and indirectly affecting our health," says Tomasz Ciszewicz, mayor of Słubice.

"We are pleased to have been able to win the Slubice Municipality for the Energy Cluster with us and our partners, especially as our Polish representative office with SUNfarming Polska sp.z.o.o. Also located in Slubice, just 80km or 1 hour from the headquarter near Berlin, "says Martin Tauschke, Managing Director of SUNfarming GmbH and SUNfarming Polska sp.z.o.o. firmly. Two more photovoltaic power plants for climate protection

More than 11 million kilowatt hours of electricity are produced by the two solar parks with a total capacity of 6.64 megawatts a year. The Co2 savings are around 8,300 tonnes annually.
3,358 kWp were completed in the Aegean province of Denizli and 3,279 kWp in the Anatolian province of Kayseri. The major projects were implemented by SUNfarming Eurasia. Commissioning took place in December 2017.
Denizli has about 1 million inhabitants. The province is located about 200 km from the Turkish Aegean coast and is known for its healing waters and thermal baths. The economy of the region consists mainly of the textile industry and winegrowing. The project was developed by the SUNfarming Eurasia team, the property with 69.100m2 is the property of SUNfarming Eurasia.
Kayseri is located about 280 km south-east of the capital Ankara and has about 1.2 million inhabitants.
Develi, a suburb of Kayseri, has about 60,000 inhabitants and lies behind the Erciyes Mountains. The land was leased to 30 years, with a 10-year extension option.
With solar radiation of around 1,600 kWh / kWp in Kayseri and 1,660 kWh / kWp in Denizli, both regions offer the best solar yield for the production of renewable energy and make a global contribution to climate protection.
